New Delhi: Travelling in autos and taxis in Delhi has become more secure now. Delhi Police has installed QR codes in autos and taxis operating in the national capital. One can scan and get the full details of the ride and its driver and can call the Delhi Police for help through phone or app in case of any threat.

More than 6000 taxis and auto QR codes were installed in Delhi due to this special drive. A program was organized by the Delhi Police on Friday at the New Delhi Railway Station premises where Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal gave QR codes to taxi drivers.
As soon as you scan the QR code, the vehicle's number, the driver's photo, the name, mobile number, driving license number, even the driver's full address will be on your mobile screen. All this information is already available in the Delhi Police database.

You can scan this code on the Himmat Plus app of Delhi Police before traveling in any taxi. As soon as you scan the code from you, the police will have access to your travel information. A special police control room has also been set up where the police continuously trace your car and can reach the spot immediately if any complaint is received.
