For its forthcoming Pixel 6 phones, Google has decided to forego Qualcomm's Snapdragon CPUs. In the devices, the firm will instead use its previously disclosed Tensor chipset. Qualcomm was so irritated by this decision that it created a red flag joke on Twitter. The red flag meme was formerly thought to be a warning sign when dating, but it's now widely utilised for everything.

To improve the AI and Machine Learning capabilities in Pixel smartphones, Google developed its own Tensor processor. The new processor is also intended to provide better video recording and picture processing, as well as a faultless voice-to-text experience. The company's decision to sever its partnership with Qualcomm has recently become the buzz of the smartphone industry. Previously, Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets were used in the Pixel and Nexus line of smartphones.

It's worth noting, though, that Google is one of Qualcomm's lesser clients, with its chips appearing in the lineups of smartphone heavyweights like as Xiaomi, Vivo, Samsung, and others. Qualcomm chipsets are used in the vast majority of Android devices.

A recent leak on the internet revealed that the upcoming Pixel 6 series of smartphones by Google will receive security updates for five years. During an online event tonight, Google will launch the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The event will begin at 10:30 p.m. IST.
