Rabies spread in Indore zoo, half a dozen wolves died in 3 days

Indore: The incident of the death of 6 wolves in 3 days has come to light at The Kamala Nehru Zoo in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. The remaining two wolves have been isolated after the rabies outbreak was confirmed in the Zoo. Of the museum's 8 wolves, 6 lost their lives due to rabies.  

According to the zoo officials, six wolves have lost their lives in the last three days. On Tuesday, two wolves died at the same time, then, on Wednesday and Thursday, two wolves each died. The post-mortem report of the bodies of the wolves found the cause of death to be rabies. The wolves who died included two female and four male wolves.

The zoo official reported that the other two surviving wolves have undergone rabies tests from their blood and saliva, although they have not yet shown signs of rabies. Two other wolves in the cage have been kept under the supervision of animal doctors. Among the surviving wolves are a four-year-old male and a two-and-a-half-year-old female. The crisis of rabies has also arisen in other animals in the zoo, in such a situation, vigilance is being maintained. The anti-rabies drug is being sprayed in other animal rooms. How rabies spread in the zoo has not been revealed.
