Twenty-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal has secured his place in the semi-finals of the summer set tournament in Melbourne without entering the court. Nadal's rival Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands had decided to withdraw from the quarterfinals. Nadal, who is gearing up for a record 21st Grand Slam, will face unseeded Emil Ruusuvuori, who defeated Alex Molcan 6-2 6-1 on Saturday. Maxime Cressy defeated Jaume Munar 7-6, 6-4 and Grigor Dimitrov defeated Botic Van De 6-7, 6-0, 7-5.
