Congress president and party's candidate from Wayanad parliamentary constituency, Rahul Gandhi, offered prayers at the Thirunelli temple in Kerala. Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday offered prayers at Thirunelli temple in Wayanad. Gandhi could be seen sporting a lungi at Thirunelli temple. Thirunelli Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Maha Vishnu on the side of Brahmagiri hill in Kerala. This is the second visit of the Congress president to the Southern state.

Accompanied by senior leaders of Congress in Kerala, Rahul visits the Thirunelli temple in Wayanad before addressing rallies. The Congress President offered 'bali tharpanam'- a ritual paying homage to the soul of his father, Rajiv Gandhi on the banks of the holy stream of Papanashini. Rahul Gandhi will campaign in Kerala as voters in the state are set to cast their ballots in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections on April 23. Rahul Gandhi will be addressing four rallies today in Kerala:
> Wayanad at 10.45 am
> Kozhikode at 12.45 pm
> Wandoor at 2 pm
> Palakkad at 3.30 pm
