Amidst Diwali, there are several important decisions taking place in the country. Presently, the BCCI has made several significant announcements in the midst of the T20 World Cup. Rahul Dravid, a former cricketer, has been named Team India's head coach. On Wednesday, the BCCI tweeted this information. The present coach Ravi Shastri's term will expire just after the T20 World Cup, as will the term of his staff members. In such a scenario, Rahul Dravid will lead Team India in the home series against New Zealand, which will take place immediately after finishing the T20 World Cup.

Let me tell you that amidst the ongoing T20 world cup BCCI has been in discussions with Rahul Dravid for quite some time, although he had previously resisted taking on the role. However, following a meeting in the United Arab Emirates a few months ago, Rahul Dravid sought the position of head coach, and he has since been selected as Team India's head coach.

Sourav Ganguly, the president of the BCCI, also made a statement on the occasion. Sourav Ganguly stated, "We welcome Rahul Dravid, whose record as a player is fantastic, and he is among the best players in the world." As the head of the NCA, he has done an outstanding job. We are hopeful that he would help Indian cricket reach new heights. Along with Sourav Ganguly, on this occasion, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah stated, "No one could have been better than Rahul Dravid for this post; we are extremely delighted about it." With two World Cups coming up in the next two years, the former Indian captain is an excellent replacement.
