New Delhi: Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi, party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and many other veteran leaders of the party on Friday (7 August) expressed grief over the plane crash near Kozhikode airport in Kerala, recovering the injured quickly. Party General Secretary KC Venugopal has requested the Civil Aviation Ministry to immediately issue an order to investigate the incident.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted saying, "I am shocked to hear the sad news of the plane crash in Kozhikode. My condolences to the friends and families of those killed in this accident. I wish the injured a speedy recovery." Rahul's sister Priyanka Vadra said, "My condolences to the crew members and passengers and their families of this aircraft. In this hour of grief for you guys, it is our prayer. "
Congress leader Venugopal, who hails from Kerala, said in a statement, "This is shocking. The government should take all necessary steps to provide relief and assistance." According to the Congress General Secretary of the organization, he has appealed to the Civil Aviation Ministry to immediately issue an order to investigate the incident. Venugopal said that the injured should be given proper medical care. Be made available and financial assistance to the families of those who died.
