Farmers protest: Rahul-Pawar will meet President tomorrow

New Delhi: A delegation of opposition parties will meet President Ramnath Kovind on Wednesday amid protests against agricultural laws brought by the Center. Communist Party of India Marxist (CPI (M)) leader Sitaram Yechury said that a joint delegation of opposition parties is scheduled to meet President Kovind at 5 pm tomorrow.

Sitaram Yechury further said, "The delegation meeting President Ramnath Kovind will include former Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and other veteran leaders." Due to the Corona Virus Protocol, only 5 people have been allowed to meet the President. "NCP Chief Sharad Pawar said that leaders of various political parties will collectively discuss controversial agricultural laws before meeting President Ram Nath Kovind. 

Let us tell you that farmers are protesting demanding the repeal of the three new agricultural laws of the Center. Today farmers have also shut down India. This bandh has been supported by about 15 parties including Congress, NCP, Shiv Sena, TMC and Samajwadi Party. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is going to talk to the farmers leaders at 7 pm today.
