On Wednesday, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has appealed to the government to arrange for the aircraft to bring back the trapped Indian workers in the Middle East countries. He said that due to the closure of business in the Middle East due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic, workers are in deep crisis there.

In his statement, Rahul further said in a tweet that, 'Due to the Coronavirus crisis and the closure of businesses in the Middle East, thousands of Indian workers are in deep distress and are desperate to return home. The government is in great need of help to these siblings and aircraft should be arranged to bring them back and then they should be quarantined. People trapped in special countries including China, Iran and Italy have been brought back by special aircraft and they have been quarantined at different places.

According to the data published on Wednesday by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 11,439 cases of corona virus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in India. Of these, there are 9,756 active cases, so 1,305 persons have been discharged from the hospital. One person went to another country and 377 people died due to illness.
