New Delhi: Countrywide lockdown imposed in view of global epidemic coronavirus, is now slowly opening. However, there are still no classes going on in schools, college and university. UGC has released the schedule for university exams. According to the UGC schedule, it has been said to conduct examinations in September.
On this order of UGC, former National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi has said that UGC is confusing the students. Rahul Gandhi has tweeted from his official twitter handle that it is completely wrong to conduct exams during the Corona epidemic. He said that UGC should listen to the voice of students and academics. The examination should be cancelled and students should be promoted on the basis of past performance. Rahul Gandhi further said that Corona harmed a lot of people. Our students, in school, in college and in university, all had to face problems. Our IITs promoted the children by cancelling the examination. The UGC is confusing the students. The UGC should cancel the examinations and promote the students on the basis of past performance.
University Grants Commission (UGC) had issued new guidelines regarding the final year/semester exams and academic calendar of universities. Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Minister of Human Resource Development, released the Academic Guideline through a tweet.
It is extremely unfair to conduct exams during the Covid19 pandemic.
