On the formation day  (Statehood day) of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, and Puducherry, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wished the people. He said that every state's support and progress has contributed to the formation of India, and he urged everyone to pledge to make states prosperous. The Congressman also stated that "our collective strength in diversity" is celebrated by the concept of India.

On the occasion of the formation of their states, I extend my best wishes to the people of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, and Haryana. Every state's support and advancement has aided India. Let us make a commitment to make our own countries prosperous, he said. Every state in India was founded on democratic values, which must be safeguarded at all costs. Congratulations to our brothers and sisters on the formation of their states," the Congress leader said.

On the formation day of their respective states, President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi both sent greetings to the people.
