New Delhi: The deal between the Congress and Prashant Kishor has not been finalised. There are various discussions in the political corridors about this. It is also being said that former Congress President Rahul Gandhi had predicted on the very first day that Prashant Kishor would not be a part of Congress. Many Congress leaders felt that election strategists wanted to use the Congress as well as other parties. A party source has given information in this regard.
Prashant Kishor was offered two days ago to take over the responsibility of election management in the Congress committee, though he turned down the offer on Tuesday. According to media reports, senior leader P Chidambaram, who was part of the group that reviewed Prashant Kishor's Congress revival plan, said, "PK was offered to join the Congress a day before yesterday. He refused it. We don't know why they did it.''
Sources said Prashant Kishor wanted either the post of political secretary or vice-president of the Congress president. "Rahul Gandhi had said on the first day itself that Prashant Kishor will not join the Congress. This is not the first time he was being given a place in the party. Some even said that this was the eighth time Prashant Kishor had negotiated to join the Congress.''
