New Delhi: This year Prayagraj is to host the great religious event Kumbh mela and Congress president Rahul Gandhi is also likely to visit the Mela, as the party gears up to launch its campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Informing about Gandhi’s visit to Prayagraj, Party spokesperson Nadeem Javed has said that party president Rahul Gandhi is fully devoted to the religious faith he belongs to and believes in.  He furthe added that before him, former PM Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and ex-Congress president Sonia Gandhi also went to attend the Kumbh Mela in the past. If Rahul Gandhi has time, he will definitely come.

As per the reports, Rahul Gandhi will most probably reach Kumbh Nagar in Prayagraj.

As per the reprots, The Congress party has acquired two camps of nearly 16,000 sq ft for itself. The camp will also include a Swiss tent for VIP pilgrims. BJP, meanwhile, received 200x450 sq ft of space.

Recently, UP Health MinisterSidharth Nath Singh had sparked a controversy, by inviting Rahul Gnadhi to take a dip in the Ganga to "wash away his sins he had accumulated by lying in the Rafale issue".
