CHENNAI: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi met priest George Ponnaiah, infamous for his anti-Hindu remarks, on Friday (September 9, 2022) during his 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'. A video of a conversation that took place during this meeting is becoming fiercely viral on social media. In this video, you can see that the discussion about Jesus Christ is going on. The priest is explaining to Rahul that Jesus is the real God.

Not only this, Rahul Gandhi is being explained by giving examples of three states of water that he (Rahul) is the son of God. At the same time, George Ponnaiah says that Jesus is the real God, they are not like Shakti and other Hindu Hindu gods. Ponnaiah can be heard saying in the video, 'Jesus is the real God born as a human. Shakti (Mother Durga is called 'Shakti') and like no other.' However, during this time Rahul Gandhi, who describes himself as a 'Janeudhari Brahmin', sometimes a Kashmiri Pandit, and sometimes expressed his desire to learn Shiv Yoga, is seen listening to the words of the priest sitting quietly in the video on such insults to Hindu gods. The clergy kept trying to prove throughout the discussion that Jesus was the real god and the Hindu god was imaginary. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi, who is called a scholar for explaining Hindutva, Silently supported the words of the pastor. In such a situation, it is also worth noting that in a Hindu-majority country, Rahul Gandhi is going on a Bharat Jodo Yatra by talking about Hindu hatred like this.

Let me tell you that this discussion with Rahul Gandhi and the priests is at a time when the Congress, which is constantly struggling with the resignations of veteran leaders, is doing 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' in India to regain its lost political ground. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi has met a man who is making disgusting statements about the civilization and values of Hindus along with Mother India and Hindu gods and goddesses. This is not the first time pastor George Ponnaiah has made an anti-Hindu statement. Even before this, he has said controversial things against Hinduism many times.

Pastor George Ponnaiah has been anti-Hindu from the beginning:-

In July 2021, George Ponniah, a Christian priest and advisor to an NGO called 'Jannayak Kristuva Peravai Amaippu', mocked the countrymen's idea of India as a mother in Arumanai, Kanyakumari, saying, "BJP MLA MR Gandhi does not wear slippers because he does not want to hurt Mother India and we wear slippers so that our feet are not dirty and due to Bharat Mata we do not have any disease.'' At the same gathering, Pastor Ponnaiah had also used abusive language toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. He had said that 'Narendra Modi's last day will be the most miserable. I can give in writing. If the God we worship is really alive, then history will see that the rotten bodies of Modi and Amit Shah will be eaten by dogs and insects.

Let me tell you that Pastor Ponnaiah had made all these statements during the election campaign in favour of Tamil Nadu's ruling party DMK, after which he apologized as half-incomplete. However, an FIR was also lodged against the priest then and he was also taken into custody on July 18, 2021. In January 2022, pastor George Ponnaiah's appeal to quash the FIR against him was turned down by the Madras High Court. Even at that time, the High Court had considered the priest's statement to be extremely derogatory to Hindus.
