New Delhi: On Wednesday, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi stirred a fresh storm after he posted a screenshot of what appeared to be from an online dictionary where he searched for a word that resembled the Prime Minister’s name.

With a caption “There’s a new word in the English Dictionary. Attached is a snapshot of the entry”, Rahul Gandhi tweeted a screenshot of the search result of the word ‘Modilie’ showed the meaning as ‘to constantly Modify the truth’, ‘to lie incessantly and habitually’ and 'to lie without respite’. Times Now could not ascertain the authenticity of the information shared.

BJP was quick to react to the post, with the party’s national spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao calling it the Congress party’s “steep degeneration”. “Yesterday, Rahul Gandhi said he favours a ‘new political language’ to debate issues... 24 hours later, the Congress president returns as a social media troll. His incompetence to articulate real issues is evident in silly tweets. This marks INC’s steep degeneration. Grow up Rahul!” he tweeted.
