New Delhi: Three women farmer protesters have died after being run over by a truck near the Tikri border and now Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has targeted the Modi government over the death. In fact, recently, he tweeted and said, "Bharat Mata- The farmers of the country has been crushed. This cruelty and hatred are hollowing out our country. My condolences.''

Let me tell all of you that three women farmers died and two others injured when a truck hit them near the Tikri border in the Bahadurgarh district of Haryana in the morning today. Giving details of the case, police said that the incident took place at Pakora Chowk where women were waiting for auto-rickshaws to go to Bahadurgarh railway station. According to information received, the women were returning to their village in Mansa district of Punjab after participating in the ongoing farmers' protest against three agricultural laws of the Centre at Tikri border.

The truck driver fled the spot after the accident. As per information received in the case, the deceased has been identified as Chhindar Kaur (60), Amarjeet Kaur (58) and Gurmel Kaur (60). According to reports, all of them were residents of Khiwa Dayaluwala village in Mansa district and the injured have been admitted to Rohtak PGI. You must be aware that hundreds of women are also participating in the farmers' demonstration on the outskirts of Delhi and many shocking incidents are also coming to light from here day in and day out.
