Rahul Gandhi on Sacred Games, "My father gave sacrifice for the country, nothing can change the truth"

In the 'Sacred Games' web series allegations of misrepresenting former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that the truth of a character from a fictional program is not going to change that' my Father died for the country and has sacrificed for it.

In the midst of controversy over this web series, Gandhi tweeted, "The BJP / RSS believes that freedom of expression should be monitored and controlled. I believe this freedom is our basic democratic right." He said, "My father died for the country and this truth is not going to change from the point of view of any fictional web series. " 

Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi has allegedly made some objectionable comments through a character in this series. The Congress president wrote on Twitter that his father and former PM, Rajiv Gandhi, “lived and died” for the country and no fictional series can change that.

According to HT, “BJP/RSS believe the freedom of expression must be policed & controlled. I believe this freedom is a fundamental democratic right... My father lived and died in the service of India. The views of a character on a fictional web series can never change that,” Rahul Gandhi said.
