NEW DELHI: Following his past Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi, a key figure in the Congress party, is set to embark on a similar initiative, commencing from the northeastern state of Manipur. The yatra is scheduled to begin on January 14 and conclude in Mumbai on March 20, as announced by K C Venugopal, Congress's general secretary (Organisation).

During a press conference, Venugopal stated, "On December 21, the Congress Working Committee unanimously agreed that Rahul Gandhi should lead a journey from East to West. Responding to the CWC's wishes, Rahul Gandhi has consented. The All India Congress Committee has decided to organize a 'Bharat Nyay Yatra' from January 14 to March 20, starting from Manipur and concluding in Mumbai."

Gandhi is planning to cover an extensive distance of 6,200 kilometers during this 65-day march, crossing through 14 states and 85 districts.

The states to be traversed include Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.

However, unlike the Bharat Jodo Yatra, this new outreach program will involve travel by bus.
