Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "The country's GDP is crashing, unemployment is rising, fuel prices are skyrocketing. How many more ways will the BJP loot the country.' Priyanka Gandhi also tweeted, 'Modi government collected tax on petrol and diesel during the epidemic, Rs 2.74 lakh crore. He further wrote what this money could have provided - vaccine (67,000 crore) to the whole of India + oxygen plants in 718 districts + AIIMS hospitals in 29 states + Rs 6,000 to 25 crore poor people, but nothing.'
At the same time, the Congress Twitter handle says, "The country is facing not only corona but also the BJP-created disaster 'Price Rise'. Amid the rising corona outbreak, the BJP has cashed in on "loot" by raising petrol and diesel prices. In another tweet, the Congress wrote that the reduction in petrol and diesel prices in the country takes place only on election occasions. The BJP loot resumes as soon as the election campaign is over. What kind of BJP loot is this - which stops only on election occasions?
