Dispur: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday interacted with college children in the vigil of the Assam Assembly Elections. In the meantime, Rahul said Congress will ensure that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is not applicable in Assam. The Congress leader in Dibrugarh said that you think democracy is fading. The youth is unemployed, the farmers are protesting, the CAA is also there.

Rahul further said that if he is in the central government, he would not ask the people of Assam to forget their culture, language. A power born in Nagpur is trying to control the entire country. He further said, "Democracy means the voice of Assam should rule Assam. If we don't include students, there can be no democracy. The youth should actively participate in politics and fight for Assam. Not with stones and sticks but with love.'' Congress MP Rahul Gandhi told college students that BJP spreads hatred for dividing people.

The Congress leader further said that what is happening in the cases of airports is happening in the tea gardens as well. When we had a government, we gave Assam security. A special package worth thousands of crores of rupees, an investment policy in which we used to give subsidy to anyone who wants to invest. It was canceled.
