New Delhi: On the death anniversary of the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, the whole of India is bowing to him today. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also wrote a post remembering Mahatma Gandhi and attacked him over Hindutva. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "A Hindutvavadi had shot Gandhi. All Hindutvavadis feel that Gandhi is no more. Where there is truth, Bapu is still alive today! #GandhiForever.''

The same assassins of Rahul Gandhi call Godse a Hindutvavadi and also call the BJP and RSS people Hindutvavadis while adding to Godse. Rahul says there is a difference between a Hindu and a Hindutvawadi. They call themselves Hindus and those associated with the BJP are Hindutvavadis. A day earlier, a court in Thane district in Maharashtra said that the defamation suit filed by an RSS worker against Rahul Gandhi will be heard daily from February 5. The order was issued by a civil court judge and judicial magistrate first class in Bhiwandi, JV Paliwal.

In his speech in 2018, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had alleged that the Sangh was behind the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Rajesh Kunte, a local RSS activist, has claimed in his suit that the statement has damaged the reputation of the RSS. The Thane court had framed charges against Rahul in the case in 2018, but he refused to accept the allegations. However, citing a recent supreme court order, the court said the case against Rahul also falls under this category and hence it needs to be heard on a priority, fast and regular basis.
