In his video message, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said  "To understand this matter many things have to be understood, the defence of the country mainly rests on foreign policy, economy and people's trust. But in the last 6 years, the country has proved to be a failure in all these cases."

Speaking about foreign policy, Rahul Gandhi said that "Earlier we had good relations with almost all countries including America, Russia and Europe. But today our relationship is about only business, relations with Russia have deteriorated. Earlier Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka were our friends. All the neighbouring countries were working with us apart from Pakistan, but today everyone is talking against us. Rahul Gandhi said that the economy was once our strength, but today unemployment is at its peak in the country. Small businesses are in trouble, yet the government is not listening."
