New Delhi: In Uttar Pradesh, reports of 22 patients dying due to cut off oxygen supply during a mock drill inside Paras Hospital in Agra have created a stir. In fact, a video went viral on social media where hospital operator Dr Arinjay Jain is seen admitting that oxygen supply was stopped for 5 minutes during the mock drill. The UP government has directed an inquiry after the matter came to light.

 

 

Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has now hit out at the BJP government over the incident. Rahul Gandhi shared a screen shot of the incident related to the Agra incident on Tuesday and wrote in a tweet, "There is a huge shortage of both oxygen and humanity under the BJP regime. All those responsible for this dangerous crime should be dealt immediately. My thoughts to the families of the deceased in this hour of grief'.

The Yogi government in UP has also come into action over the issue. Talking to media about the matter, UP Minister Jai Pratap Singh said that he has received a complaint that there is any problem with oxygen at Paras Hospital in Agra. The matter is under investigation and action will be taken in the matter after the investigation is over.
