New Delhi: Former national president of Congress Rahul Gandhi has once again attacked the Modi government regarding the economic slowdown of the country. Rahul Gandhi claimed a 7.5 percent fall in GDP in the second quarter of the current financial year, claiming that the country's economy has officially gone into recession for the first time under PM Narendra Modi's tenure.

He wrote in a tweet that for the first time under the leadership of PM Modi, India's economy went into recession officially. The more serious thing is that three crore people are still looking for jobs under MNREGA. The Congress MP said that by issuing a decree, the economy cannot be taken on the path of progress. PM needs to understand this basic thing. Let us know that the GDP figures in the September quarter are telling that the Indian economy has officially fallen into recession.

However, there has been a recovery from the quarter of June, but the challenge remains for the government even after this. The latest figures show that GDP growth in the second quarter of the financial year 2020-21 was 7.5% in the negative quarter. In the first quarter of the financial year, ie, in the quarter of June, the Indian economy has fallen by about 24 percent. Negative growth in two consecutive quarters is technically considered slow. This is to say that the government has officially accepted the recession.
