Chennai: Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi, who arrived at the popular Jallikattu event in Tamil, said that this Tamil culture is of great importance to India's future and needs to be respected. In Tamil Nadu, Jallikattu is being held with some restrictions due to Corona epidemic.
Rahul Gandhi, BJP chief JP Nadda and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat are also in Tamil Nadu today. These people will be involved in different programmes. RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat celebrated Pongal in Chennai and worshipped the cow. Rahul Gandhi said, "It was a great experience to see history in Tamil culture and action. I am also very happy to see that Jallikattu has been organised in a very systematic and safe manner, in which both the youth and the bullocks are being taken care of."
Rahul Gandhi further said, "I have come here because I think Tamil culture, language and history are essential for the future of India, so it needs to be respected. Rahul Gandhi's visit is also being seen as preparations for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections this year.
