New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday spoke to industrialist Rajiv Bajaj on a number of issues amid the Coronavirus crisis. Due to the lockdown, there has been an employment crisis in the country, the issue was discussed between the two. During this time, Rahul Gandhi has once again described the lockdown as a failure and said that as long as the orders from top to bottom continue, the situation will remain difficult.
While talking with Rajiv Bajaj, Rahul Gandhi said that when the Corona crisis came, we had a serious discussion with the members of the Congress party. Rahul said that our point was that states should be given strength and the central government should give full support. The central government should have worked on the rail-flight, along with the CM and DM should have fought on the ground. Rahul Gandhi once again reiterated that according to me the lockdown has failed and now the cases of infection are increasing. Now the central government is retreating and is saying take care of the state. India pressed the pause button for two months and is now taking steps that were to be taken on the first day.
On the issue of migrant workers, Rahul Gandhi said that I do not understand why the government is not giving money in the hands of the people, forget politics but at this time people need to give money. Rahul Gandhi said that in the midst of lockdown, he has had many discussions with people working in the government. Rahul said that the person of the government told me that at this time there are more opportunities in front of India than China, if we give money to the laborers, then they will deteriorate and will not come to work. We can give them money later. Rahul said that such things were said to me.
