After receiving a grand win in counting battle on Tuesday, the Congress who  has made inroads into Madhya Pradesh by grabbing 114 out of 230 seats is all set to from the government.

Congress also secured massive wins in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and is geared up to form the governments in the two states but it also lost its last Northeast bastion in Mizoram after winning just five seats.  Congress leaders Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot have left for Delhi . They will meet Congress President Rahul Gandhi to discuss the CM post for Rajasthan here.

Congress grabbed 99 out of the 199 seats and its alliance partner, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), also won a seat, taking the final tally to 100 required to form the government.  On the other hand The Bharatiya Janata Party won 73 seats.

The Mizo National Front (MNF) won the power in the Northeast state, winning in 26 of the 40 assembly constituencies while K Chandrashekhar Rao-led TRS swept the Telangana polls, decimating the Prajakutami – the grand coalition of Congress, Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Communist Party of India (CPI) and Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) – on its way.
