Lucknow: A major case has come to light in Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh over the agitation against agricultural law. It is alleged that the son of Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra Teni crushed the protesting farmers by car, killing three farmers. The Bharatiya Kisan Union tweeted this information.

BKU wrote on his Twitter handle, "3 farmers killed when minister of state for home Teni's son mowed down farmers agitating in Lakhimpur Kheri. Tejendra Singh Virk was also reported injured. Rakesh Tikait is leaving Ghazipur.' The farmers reportedly occupied the helipad before deputy chief minister Keshav Maurya and Union Minister of State Ajay Mishra Teni landed there. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said that he will not allow this sacrifice of farmers to go in vain. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "The one who is silent even after seeing this inhuman massacre is already dead. But we will not allow this sacrifice to go waste - Kisan Satyagraha Zindabad.'

On the other hand, Samajwadi Party (SP) national president and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav tweeted about the incident that "trampling farmers peacefully opposing agricultural laws by the son of the ministers of State for Home affairs of the BJP government is a grossly inhuman and cruel act. UP will no longer tolerate the persecution of the snobbish BJP.''
