Kochi: Four Congress workers, including the staff of former party national president Rahul Gandhi, has been arrested for vandalizing Mahatma Gandhi's picture at the Wayanad office of the Kerala Congress. The Congress had earlier alleged that SFI workers ransacked the office of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad. In a tweet, the Indian Youth Congress alleged that Gandhi's statue was vandalized by 'goons carrying the SFI flag' by climbing the wall of Rahul Gandhi's Wayanad office.

Talking to the media, Congress veteran KC Venugopal claimed on June 24 that a group of SFI workers and leaders had forcefully encroached upon the office of Lok Sabha MP from Wayanad seat, Rahul Gandhi. They mercilessly attacked the office people, the employees of Rahul Gandhi. He said that he did not even know the reason for this.

Congress leader Venugopal further said that "They (alleged SFI workers) say that they are agitating on the issue of buffer zone. I don't know what is the role of Rahul Gandhi in this matter. As per the judgment of the Supreme Court, if anything can be done in that issue, then only the Chief Minister of Kerala can do it.''
