Mumbai: More than 36 hours have passed since the 5-storey building in Raigad, Maharashtra collapsed, but the rescue operation is still going on. A woman has been taken out alive late at night. This woman was buried under debris for 26 hours. It is being said that the NDRF team has taken out the woman at 10 pm on Tuesday night. It is said that the woman's name is Mehrunishan Abdul Hamdi Qazi. She was taken out alive by the NDRF Rescue Team at 10 pm. After which she has been admitted to the hospital in a hurry. Her condition is stable now. So far 15 people have been died in this incident, in which 8 are women.

A 5-storey building on the banks of the pond collapsed on Monday in the Mahan area of Raigad district. Till now 15 dead bodies have been recovered from the rubble of this building called Tariq Building. In which 7 men and 8 women were present. There were 40 flats in this building. In which 84 people were living.

Raigad District Magistrate Nidhi Chaudhary has said that the construction of the building was completed in the year 2013. A certificate of completion of the building has been given in the year 2013 itself. She called the dilapidated condition behind the collapse of the building. The District Magistrate had said that action will be taken against those responsible for this incident.

Police have registered a case under sections 304, 337, 338 and 34 against 5 people in this case. In which the builder Farukh Kazi, the architect Gaurav Shah, the building's RCC advisor Bahubali Dhamane, Mahad Municipality executive Deepak Jhinjhar and the building inspector Shashikant Dighe have been charged.
