Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh has become rich in this time's rail budget. The government has put a budget of Rs 13,607 crore in the account. This is 21 times more than the budget year 2013-14. With this budget, new rail lines will be laid, under bridges will be built, tracks will be reconstructed and passenger facilities will be increased. Along with this, big railway projects in the state will also be completed expeditiously.
Sudhir Kumar Gupta, General Manager, West Central Railway shared the budget news with the media on 3 February. He said that Madhya Pradesh has received an amount of 13,607 crores. Out of this, Rs 8,874 crore has been received by the West Central Railway. In this, a budget of Rs 2,014 crore has been given for laying new railway lines in the state. In this budget, Rs 700 crore has been given for the Lalitpur-Singrauli rail line, Rs 800 crore for the Ramganj Mandi-Bhopal rail line, and Rs 514 crore for the Jabalpur-Indore rail line via Budni.
Along with this, a budget of Rs 1,521 crore has been given for doubling the rail line in West Central Railway. Apart from this, a big budget of Rs 574 crore has been given for rail over bridges, under bridges, Rs 1,090 crore for track renewal, and Rs 2,878 crore for passenger facilities. The General Manager of West Central Railway said that with this record budget allotment, all the railway projects in the state would be able to move forward at a faster pace.
