Dhanbad: The plight of persons encroaching upon railway land in Dhanbad, Jharkhand was today removed by the railway administration in a crackdown. A drive to remove encroachments was carried out through JCBs by breaking the shelter of the persons. People had sought one month's time to vacate the space. But the Railways issued notices to the persons 10 days ago and started action against the encroachments today.

There is resentment among the people against the railway administration due to the non-delivery of one month's time by the railways. Individuals have also demanded compensation from the Railways. The people who were illegally occupying railway land in Pandarpala Road Traction Colony were crying. The action was taken by the railway administration under the encroachment of the JCB machine. The houses of hundreds of people living here were demolished. People were angry with this action of the Railways.

This action against the encroachment made the people seem angry with the Railways. The affected persons say that the notice was given by the railways 10 days ago. Two days ago, an announcement was made to vacate the land. People said that one month's time was sought from the railways. But the railways did not give us time. Where will we go in the Corona epidemic? There was also a demand by the people to pay compensation from the Railways. Railway officials who arrived there to remove encroachments said that the action is being taken all over India on the directions of the Railway Board. Wherever railway land has been encroached upon by individuals, the work of making them encroachment-free is being done by identifying such lands.
