Gandhinagar: So if you buy a train ticket from one state and you will have to travel to another state to catch a train, how will it feel. But the same happens every day in a unique station where the engine of the train is in one state and the guard box is located in another state. The name of this unique station is Nawapur.
Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has himself shared this information on Twitter. The Railway Minister has tweeted and wrote, 'Do you know that there is a railway station in the country which is located in two states? Nawapur is a station on the Surat-Bhusaval line, where the border of the two states lies in the middle of the station. Therefore, half of this station is in Gujarat, and the remaining half comes in Maharashtra'. It is the only railway station that falls under both the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra. There is a Gujarat state board at one end of the railway station and Maharashtra at the other side. The most unique thing is that the ticket counter here falls in Maharashtra, while the station master sits in the border of Gujarat. To board the train one has to go to the part of Gujarat.
There is also a bench at the station, half of which belongs to Maharashtra and half to Gujarat. Due to which, those sitting on the bench of this station have to pay attention to which state they are sitting. Not only this, there are announcements in four different languages Hindi, English, Gujarati and Marathi at this station, so that the travelers coming from both Maharashtra and Gujarat states are easy to understand.

pic.twitter.com/FKSdsjvUOR
