Lucknow: Following the violent protests by students in Uttar Pradesh-Bihar, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has decided to cancel the RRB NTPC CBT 2 and Group D CBT 1 examinations. At the same time, the board has also formed a committee with volunteers of the students, which will reconsider the results. After that, the exam will be held again.

Students allegedly set fire to a passenger train in Bihar's Ara and pelted stones at the police in protest against alleged irregularities in the Railway Recruitment Board examination. An official said that a video of the incident has been made and the accused will be arrested after an investigation. Students who have appeared for the Railway Recruitment Board's non-technical popular categories exam 2021 have been protesting in UP and Bihar for the past two days alleging that they had messed up the results.

There was also a protest at Biharsharif railway station, while the students also protested in UP's Prayagraj the previous day, after which the police entered the hostel and tried to pull out the students. Hundreds of students blocked the Kolkata-New Delhi main railway line at Rajendra Nagar Terminal in Patna, Bihar.
