Mumbai: Several parts of Maharashtra, including the country's economic capital Mumbai, are currently receiving heavy rain. In fact, the MET department has recently informed that heavy to very heavy rain will occur in many areas for the next three to four days. Heavy rain has been predicted in Mumbai, Thane, and North Konkan. Let us also tell you that till 5.30 p.m. last Monday, it rained in Akola, Amravati, Brahmapuri, Nagpur, and Wardha, etc.

Similarly, rain has also occurred in Jalgaon, Mahabaleshwar, Ratnagiri, Parbhani, etc. Due to all this, the next 24 hours are very important in terms of rain in Maharashtra while the state has been reeling under drizzle for the last three to four days. Let me tell you all that the Indian Meteorological Centre says that it may rain heavily for the next 4 days. The MET department says that the low-pressure area in Chhattisgarh is expected to have an impact in Maharashtra due to its preparedness. It is being reported that this pressure, will bring heavy rain in the northern parts of Thane, Palghar, Marathwada, Konkan, Vidarbha, and Madhya Maharashtra including Mumbai.

In fact, a total of 18 districts of Maharashtra have been predicted to receive heavy rainfall so far. The MET department has said that heavy rain may occur at Buldhana, Akola, Washim, Osmanabad, Parbhani, Hingoli, Latur, Nanded, Yavatmal, Amravati, Wardha, Chandrapur, Garhchiroli, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, and Sindhudurg-Ratnagiri in Konkan. A yellow alert has been issued for all of them. Let me tell you that the MET department has issued orange alerts in Thane and Raigad today i.e. Mumbai is likely to receive heavy rain in some parts on Tuesday and Wednesday.
