Weather update: Rain in Delhi brings down temperature, pollution slightly improved

New Delhi: In India, many states are witnessing drizzling while it's the time for the temperature to rise. Rain in many parts of the nation has changed the weather condition. In Delhi, the air quality has improved slightly on Wednesday. The hourly average AQI recorded at 7 am was 202 means the poor category.

Central Pollution Control Board data shows that earlier the overall AQI was 244 on Tuesday which also called in the category of poor but when compared with today's condition there is an improvement. Dehli experienced rain in some parts also gusty winds insignificantly brought down maximum temperature. IMD’s said that from Friday, the temperature is likely to rise again. The forecast says that around Holi the maximum temperature is likely to rise around 37-38°C. The maximum heat recorded was 29.6°C at the Safdarjung weather station, which is a notch below the season’s normal. Whereas the minimum temperature was 21.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Kuldeep Srivastava, head of IMD’s regional weather forecasting center said, “We are expecting this month’s mean maximum temperature recordings to be a few degrees above normal." Scientists said they are expecting the recordings to be a few degrees warmer than usual this year. The mean maximum temperature for March is 29.6°C.
