Bhubaneshwar: The India Meteorological Department today, march 7, said that Odisha would likely to experience light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and rain till March 10.

Senior Scientist of IMD, Bhubaneswar Umashankar Das said,  due to western disturbances in the area, Odisha may get light rain in the next days. "Between March 7 and 10, rain may fall in numerous interior and coastal districts as a result of the western disturbance. There are possibilities of rainfall in interior Odisha from March 7 to 8 and in the interior and coastal Odisha between 9 and 10," he said.

In addition, the meteorological service said that Bhubaneswar would encounter gloomy conditions and a drop in temperature of 2-3 degrees Celsius. Future developments will result in the temperature returning to normal. Some regions of the nation are expected to get light to moderate rain.

According to the India Meteorological Department many areas of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms over the next 2 days.

From the southern Konkan to central Chhattisgarh, a trough was responsible for the weather change at lower tropospheric levels, according to an IMD official.

Mumbai and adjoining areas witnessed rain and thunderstorms on Tuesday morning.
