A red alert has been issued in two districts and an orange alert in six. Yes, and due to rain, many places in the port city of Kochi were flooded and people living in low-lying areas have been shifted to safer places by the administration. On the other hand, the government has issued a warning saying that people should avoid going to the hilly areas. At the same time, the government has also put the police and revenue authority on alert.

Revenue minister K Rajan said in the state, "We are on the alert to deal with any emergency situation. Apart from this, he further said that the amount of water in all the dams is the same as it should be now, so there is no need to panic. At the same time, red alerts will continue in Idukki and Ernakulam. The red alert is issued in the area where heavy to heavy rainfall is predicted. In fact, it can rain up to 20 cm in 24 hours. With this, an orange alert is issued where there is a possibility of rainfall from 6 cm to 20 cm in 24 hours.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that the Southwest Monsoon will enter Kerala on May 27 this time before June 1. Light to moderate rain is expected during this period. Kerala often receives torrential rains during the monsoon. If we talk about North India, then the sun is burning here these days. Meanwhile, the Met department has said that the weather will change in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in the next few days. Today i.e. on May 16 and 17, there is a possibility of thunderstorm squalls and rain. Apart from this, hail can also fall in many places.
