Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel's father Nand Kumar Baghel has been arrested by the police. A case was registered against him at DD Nagar police station in Raipur for his objectionable remarks against the Brahman community. Raipur police have arrested Nand Kumar Baghel from Agra. Ever since the FIR was registered, it was believed that his arrest could take place at any time.

Tell you that Nand Kumar Baghel had made derogatory remarks against the Brahmin community in Lucknow. This was followed by outrage among the Brahmin community. Raipur police had left for his arrest only after FIR was registered. Police have arrested him from Agra and brought him to Raipur. He is currently kept away from the media. It may be recalled that even before Lucknow, Nand Kumar Baghel had made a controversial statement against the Brahmins. Raipur police have produced him before the court.

After the arrest, he said that this is the last battle. I will go to the apex court against it. He has been remanded to 15 days of judicial custody after his appearance in court. The matter will be heard further on September 21. During his appearance in court, CM Bhupesh Baghel's father said that he will not seek bail.
