Today marks the commencement of the ninth edition of the Raisina Dialogue, happening in New Delhi until Friday, February 23. This conference, organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alongside the Chief Guest, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece.

What's Happening at the Raisina Dialogue:

The 9th Raisina Dialogue will feature participation from ministers, former heads of state, military commanders, industry leaders, academics, journalists, scholars, and youth from over 100 nations.

This year, more than 2,500 participants from approximately 115 countries will engage in discussions across various formats, both in-person and digitally.

About the Raisina Dialogue:

The Raisina Dialogue serves as India's premier conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics, aiming to tackle pressing global issues. Leaders from politics, business, media, and civil society gather annually in New Delhi to deliberate on global affairs and explore opportunities for collaboration.

The theme for this year's dialogue is "Chaturanga: Conflict, Contest, Cooperate, Create."

The dialogue will span three days, focusing on six thematic pillars:

Tech Frontiers: Regulations and Realities
Peace with the Planet: Invest and Innovate
War and Peace: Armouries and Asymmetries
Decolonising Multilateralism: Institutions and Inclusion
The Post 2030 Agenda: People and Progress
Defending Democracy: Society and Sovereignty

Day 1 Agenda Highlights:

India-Armenia Dialogue: Discussing the burgeoning strategic partnership between India and Armenia across various sectors, from defense to technology.

UNSC First: Reforming Multilateralism: Addressing the need for equitable and just reform within the United Nations Security Council amidst new conflicts and crises worldwide.
