Today is the birthday of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, the real name of Raj Thackeray is known to very few people. The reason is that he changed his name after one sentence. Raj Thackeray's father Srikanth Thackeray was a music director. He named the children, including his wife, musical. While the wife was named Madhuwanti, the son name was given swaraj. Madhuwanti is a melody of Hindustani classical music. Swarraj means the king of vowels. He named his daughter Jayajaywanti. As a child, Swarraj started learning tabla, guitar and violin. He loved music but more loved making cartoons. Swarraj Thackeray used to make cartoons for the family's weekly magazine 'Marmik'. When he was studying in school. One day, his uncle Bala Saheb Thackeray said, "I did my career as a cartoonist as Bal Thackeray, you can start your career under the name Raj Thackeray." And thus Swarraj Thackeray made his name Raj thackeray.

Raj Thackeray was born on June 14, 1968 as the son of Bal Thackeray's younger brother Srikant Thackeray. Bal Thackeray's wife Meena Thackeray's sister was married to his younger brother Srikanth. Raj Thackeray studied arbhik from Bal Mohan Vidyamandir Mumbai. He then graduated from mumbai's popular Jazz School of Arts Mumbai. After completing his studies, as a young leader, he started politics in the presence of Uncle Bal Thackeray. In 1996, Raj Thackeray organized a famous musical concert, which was attended by popular pop star Michael Jackson and legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar.
