Raj Thackeray was born on June 14, 1968 as the son of Bal Thackeray's younger brother Srikant Thackeray. Bal Thackeray's wife Meena Thackeray's sister was married to his younger brother Srikanth. Raj Thackeray studied arbhik from Bal Mohan Vidyamandir Mumbai. He then graduated from mumbai's popular Jazz School of Arts Mumbai. After completing his studies, as a young leader, he started politics in the presence of Uncle Bal Thackeray.
