Mumbai [Maharashtra] [India], Mar 19 (NT): Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray on Sunday called for a 'Modi-mukt Bharat in his address to a rally on the occasion of Gudi Padwa in Mumbai's Shivaji Park.

Thackeray said, 'Today, we have to gear up for the third independence. All the political parties must unite to make Modi-mukt Bharat a reality’ as reported by ANI

On the demise of Shridevi and giving her state honour, as well as PNB scam, are the key agendas of Thackeray’ s an hour-long speech.

“Nirav Modi was the talk of the town, and then the issue of Sridevi came in. This was brought to change the issue. When a person like Sridevi dies, you wrap her in Tri-color & you say you did that because she was a Padma Shri. It was all fault of the Maharashtra government”, said Raj Thackeray.

MNS head also warned about attempts by certain elements to spark nation-wide disturbance and riots in future.

Voices of a "united opposition" received even more impetus after the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) lost two decisive seats in the Uttar Pradesh by-polls.

According to the experts, joining forces is the only way to triumph over the Modi-led government in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. (NT)
