The Telangana High Court is now hearing a petition accusing Rajamouli's RRR of distorting history. Alluri Yuvajana Sangham filed a similar case at the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday.

"It's not ethical to show Alluri as a British police officer who fought against the British. "It is not fair to distort history by claiming that Alluri and Komaram Bheem met, since this will lead to future generations being misled," the petitioner said.

As of now how these petitions will be handled by the courts. However, as the film's release date approaches, the producers will face a slew of problems. Rajamouli and his team are aware of this, but they are unable to interfere. Both petitions were submitted after the RRR was postponed.

RRR may not be released until April 29th, based on current conditions. Even that date is subject to change, depending on Omicron's approval and theatres throughout the country opening with 100% occupancy and no night curfews.
