Jalore: A very painful news is emerging from Jalore district of Rajasthan where a 5-year-old innocent girl was killed in sandy dhoras (Sand dunes) due to lack of water. At the same time, his grandmother was also found lying unconscious next to him. Police who reached the spot after receiving information from villagers have admitted the elderly woman to a local hospital after watering her. The body of the innocent has been postmortem and handed over to the family members. The post mortem report also attributed his death to lack of water.

According to reports, the tragic incident took place on Sunday in Roda village under Raniwara area of Jalore district. The innocent child Anjali succumbed to her injuries due to lack of water in the scorching sun of about 45 degrees in the afternoon on Sunday. Her grandmother Sukhi Devi was found lying unconscious next to her. When the locals informed the police about it, he admitted the elderly woman to a local hospital. Sukhi Devi was reportedly coming to her house in Dungri in Raniwara area in the afternoon from Raipur near Sirohi with her granddaughter Anjali.

They did not find any means due to stoppage of vehicular movement due to corona period. At this she walked to her village with her five-year-old granddaughter. Both were badly exhausted by walking about 20 to 25 kilometers. In the meantime, both of them were thirsty in the sandy dhoras. While innocent Anjali died near Roda village due to lack of water, Sukhi Devi fell unconscious. No one passed by for a long time due to corona and summer, so people could not even get to know about the incident. It was too late by the time the information was received.
