Jaipur: A case of shame to humanity has come to light from Rajasthan. Here a grandson killed his own 100-year-old grandmother. The incident took place in the Nithauwa police station area of the Dungarpur district. The grandson wanted to steal silver bracelets from his grandmother's leg so that he could sell them and drink with that money.

Police said the man carried out the incident while his grandmother was sleeping. As he tried to remove the stiffness from his grandmother's feet, his grandmother woke up. As soon as grandma resisted, the grandson, fearing being caught, strangled her to death by pressing her face with a sheet. The accused did not stop there. He took out the silver bracelets and took them to the goldsmith and sold them. Police later arrested one of his accomplices along with his grandson as soon as the incident was reported.

In the interrogation, the accused grandson confessed that two of his other accomplices were also involved in the incident. Police are currently searching for them.

At Hyderabad airport, gold worth Rs 1.36 crore was seized.
