Rajasthan: AshokGehlot takes oath as new CM, Sachin Pilot sworn in as Deputy CM

Jaipur: Ashok Gehlot took oath as the Chief Minister and Sachin Pilot took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan at Jaipur's Albert Hall ground.. The former CM Vasundhara Raje also attend the event , besides her  Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi also graced the event.

With an interesting move Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Chief Mayawati did not participate in the swearing-in ceremonies in Rajasthan.

Worth mention here The grand old  Congress party was elected with a sizeable majority in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the recently concluded Assembly polls. It won 99 seats in Rajasthan against BJP's 73. On the other hand In the 230 seater Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Congress won 114 seats while  In Chhattisgarh, Congress bagged  68 seats against BJP's 15. 

Meanwhile Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot earlier told news agency ANI that Once the cabinet is decided, the Chief Minister will work on its advice. He assured that once it’s done, we’ll do what’s in public interest, the manifesto will be our priority.
