Jaipur: A shocking case has been reported from the Barmer district of Rajasthan. A 16-year-old minor girl who was injured in the gang rape here hanged herself from a fan for fear of defamation and committed suicide on Sunday night (December 28). The victim's family came to know about the rape when they were preparing for the girl's funeral. During that time, they found a suicide note from the deceased's clothes in which she revealed the cause of death.

The victim wrote, 'I am going to die. Don't give my things to anyone. I don't want to die, but what do I do? People will blame my father. My dreams are still unfulfilled. Mahendra and his friend called me out fraudulently. I got a bad name. Don't tell my mom and dad anything. Dad, I'm sorry. Put my clothes and all things in the right place. I have not done anything wrong.' The deceased once again wrote in the note, 'Dad and Mom forgive me... Your daughter. Mahendra and his friend are the reason for my death.'

The family members were surprised to read the suicide note. Police then conducted a postmortem of the body of the deceased and registered a case against the two accused under sections including gang rape and Pocso Act. According to family sources, the accused is the brother-in-law of the deceased's aunt and his (Brother-in-law's) friend. Both are said to be absconding since the gang rape. According to police, the minor was gang-raped by Mahendra Singh (24) and a minor on Sunday. He also threatened to defame the victim if she told anyone.
