The Rajasthan government had presented the budget of its government in the Assembly on Wednesday. On this special occasion, the iPhone 13 was also gifted to all the 200 MLAs by the state government. The price of a phone is said to be close to 1 lakh 20 thousand. Due to this, the government has spent two crore rupees only to give gifts to MLAs. When the MLAs were talked to about this, someone said that now they will do more work, then someone was also heard saying that they already have a phone, but the government gave another one so it was taken.
On the other hand, no MLA himself came to take these iPhones, but his employees collected this gift. Well, this is not the first time that such expensive gifts have been given to the MLAs, but it has happened before. The argument of the state government is that all the MLAs have to be made high-tech and move towards paperless. Due to this, there is an emphasis on making everything digital. In this episode, when the Rajasthan government presented its new budget, all its documents were given in an iPhone instead of a briefcase. It is being said that these iPhones have also been upgraded from the latest app. However, earlier laptops were also given to the MLAs for the same reasons.
On the other hand, according to the information received, the Rajasthan BJP MLAs have turned down this gift. Rajasthan BJP President Satish Poonia tweeted, "After discussions with Gulab Kataria, Rajendra Rathore and other MLAs, it has been confirmed that all the BJP MLAs in the Rajasthan government will return the iPhones given by the Congress government keeping in view the financial burden on the state government."
