Jaipur: Rajasthan has been found to be better than other states in the country in the matter of providing free medicines to needy patients. The Central Government has found Rajasthan at the forefront of free drug distribution after a review of 16 states in the country. The state government has also issued a citation on behalf of the central government.

During his second reign, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot launched an ambitious scheme called 'Free Medicine'. Under the scheme, the state government provided free medicines to all the needy. This time, after the government was formed in Rajasthan, CM Ashok Gehlot launched the scheme more strongly.

To make the scheme a success, the state's Health Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said that the scheme will be successful. Raghu Sharma was instructed to monitor directly. As a result, the scheme has been found to be the top most in the country in terms of distribution of free medicines. On the other hand, after the announcement of the Central Government, there is a lot of enthusiasm among those who congratulated Rajasthan.  National Health Mission, NHM Central Secretary Manoj Jhalani also congratulated Rajasthan for the achievement.
