Dungarpur: The work of archery academy launched to give a platform to archery talents in the tribal-dominated Dungarpur district of Rajasthan has not been completed even after years. The academy's work has been incomplete due to lack of budget from the government. In the absence of the Archery Academy, the dream of archery players to move forward is now a dream.
The then Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government had announced Archery Academy in Dungarpur district to promote archery and talent in the TSP region of the state. After the announcement, the RSRDC also started the work of the Academy at the Sports Complex at Dungarpur district headquarters, but almost a year and a half before the budget were not released, the work of the Academy was halted even today.
On the other hand, the work that the RSRDC has done is also very useless. Poor work has cracked the walls of the academy, and the floors have been submerged. The local sports department also complained about the poor construction to the District Administration and the Rajasthan State Sports Council, but no action was taken on the executive agency even after that.
